Grade 1 students joyfully make Mooncakes with the "Flavors of the Full Moon" Workshop
23/09/2026
The sweet, rich aroma of baking filled the kitchen area this afternoon, bringing the warm atmosphere of the Mid-Autumn Festival right to GFS. Under the guidance of Chef Aden, our Grade 1 students had a fun and exciting experience as they made their very own mooncakes from soft dough and sweet mung bean filling.
Unable to hide their excitement and curiosity, as soon as they "transformed" into little chefs, the children listened attentively to instructions, skillfully kneaded the dough, rolled the filling, and pressed it into molds - then eagerly waited for their charming mooncakes to take shape.
The traditional cultural values of celebrating the Reunion Festival will never feel distant to the younger generation; rather, they are passed down through these intimate, hands-on moments. The sparkle of joy in their smiling eyes, the fragrant aroma of mooncakes, and the cherished moments spent with friends and teachers leave the children with beautiful childhood memories - so that as they grow up, they will always remember the "Flavors of the Full Moon".
