Experiencing the "Green Classroom" Field Trip with Grades 4-5-6

14/10/2026

Today, students in Grades 4-5-6 spent a joyful day of learning and discovery at the "Green Classroom" in Suối Tiên Cultural Park. No longer confined to textbook pages, lessons on nature and patriotism came alive through hands-on activities and direct exploration.

The journey began at the Hung Kings Temple with a guided visit and incense offering ceremony. Surrounded by the solemn atmosphere of a place deeply rooted in Vietnamese heritage, the students were reminded of the tradition of honoring our roots and gained a deeper appreciation for our nation’s unity across 4,000 years of history.

At the "Green Classroom," students immersed themselves in nature, discovering various plant and animal species. The science lessons from their textbooks sprang to life, keeping the young learners completely captivated by the tour guides' explanations. A key highlight was planting coconut trees in coco-peat substrates with their own hands - an engaging activity that brought immense joy to everyone involved.

Meanwhile, the "Story of Bánh Ít" station offered another delightful learning experience. While the origins of "Bánh Chưng" and "Bánh Dày" were already familiar through traditional folktales, the "Legend of Bánh Ít" pleasantly surprised the students. They learned that this modest cake traces its roots back to the reign of the 6th Hung King, created by the youngest princess, with its name symbolizing her humility.

The day’s journey through this outdoor classroom drew to a close, leaving the students filled with happiness. Their teachers believe that today's joy, memories, and lessons in culture, history, science, and solidarity will serve as precious baggage along their path to growing up. Let us take a look back at the vibrant and enriching moments from the Grades 4-5-6 field trip!
