Greenfield School Opening Ceremony: Full of Joy Welcoming the New Academic Year

On the morning of September 5, all students, faculty members, and a large number of parents at Greenfield School (GFS) joyfully celebrated a truly important and meaningful milestone: the Opening Ceremony for the 2026-2027 Academic Year. Joining the online opening ceremony organized by the Ministry of Education and Training alongside over 26 million pupils and students nationwide, GFS students, parents, and teachers shared joyful and memorable moments together.

In the solemn atmosphere of the hybrid ceremony combining both in-person and online formats, students, parents, and teachers performed the Flag-Salute Ceremony, listened to inspiring guidance and dedicated remarks from Prime Minister Le Minh Hung and leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training, as well as the official letter sent to the Education Sector by State President To Lam. As the drum roll announcing the new school year echoed from campuses in the heart of the city to those in remote border areas and islands, millions of hearts beat as one, filled with joy to welcome a new journey—a new opportunity to continue learning and growing.

"Amid the profound changes brought about by science, technology, and artificial intelligence, education must proactively expand opportunities to access knowledge while elevating the quality of teaching and learning. Technology must serve humanity and make education better. The more modern technology is applied, the more schools must cultivate independent thinking, academic integrity, responsibility, civic awareness, and humanistic values that no machine can ever replace." (Excerpt from the letter sent to the Education Sector on the occasion of the 2026-2027 school year opening by General Secretary and State President To Lam).

Under the theme "Curiosity is the Core of Learning," the new academic year arrives with fresh inspiration for learning and exploring the boundless world of knowledge. Alongside this journey, GFS students will continue to learn and apply technology while nurturing their intellect and core values to become true global citizens: excellent, integrity-driven, socially responsible, resilient, and fair.

Alongside the online opening ceremony, GFS students enthusiastically took part in lively accompanying activities: capturing joyful moments at check-in booths with teachers, friends, and parents; exploring interactive stations for scientific reading, STEAM project displays, and AI experiences; warmly welcoming the first-graders; and closing the event with deeply moving musical performances. These activities multiplied the joy of going to school, grounded in pride and the aspiring spirit of Vietnamese youth.
